Plagiarism
detection software at ANU: MyDropBox
MyDropBox
is an assignment management system which allows students or lecturers to submit
assignments to check for correct citation and paraphrasing. After submission
to the MyDropBox.com website, MyDropBox searches the internet and other databases
for matching text. It then returns a report to the same MyDropBox webpage where
the assignment was submitted. This report highlights in colour any text in the
assignment which has been matched to other source material, and gives the site
where MyDropBox found the matching text. This source material might be from
the internet or from another student's assignment.
Who can use
MyDropBox at ANU?
Student access to MyDropBox is dependent on the
lecturer for each course. Each lecturer will determine if they will use MyDropBox
in their course.
